About Us
The Bluegrass Nurse Aide Training Center opened it's doors in 2004 with the goal of providing a nurse aide training program in central Kentucky in a convenient location, and with classes offered throughout the week to fit the schedule of even the busiest individual. We remain dedicated to those goals today.
Our facility is conducive to learning in a relaxed, home-like atmosphere with state of the art equipment. We hope you have taken the virtual tour of our facility on this website. We also extend to you an invitation to stop by our center, take a tour and pick up enrollment information any time during business hours. (8A-5P, Monday through Friday)
The Bluegrass Nurse Aide Training Center nurse instructors love teaching their profession to our
students. We are all proud to be a part of the nursing profession and consider it our "calling in life". We believe the nurse aide is the "grassroots of nursing" and the aide's care must always be held to the highest of standards and they must have a commitment to excellence in care.
It is a wonderful thing that we are all different. Each of us have strengths and skills to share. When we link our strength together as a nursing team we make a difference in the lives of those to whom we provide care.
It is our promise to each student that you will enjoy these classes and will obtain the knowledge and skill you need to become a safe, compassionate and effective Nursing Assistant.
There is a story that goes like this………………….
An old man walked up a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young man was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. "Why do you bother?" the old man scoffed. "You're not saving enough to make a difference." The young man picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back into the water. "Made a difference to that one," he said.
It is our mission to help you "make a difference" in the lives of others and in your own life as a nursing assistant.
